2010 Maserati Spyder
These are the first spy photos of the upcoming 2010 Maserati Spyder. It's based on the recently introduced Gran Turismo coupe and it appears as though the Spyder will switch to a hardtop configuration. We never liked the odd proportions of the previous Spyder, so this revised version should offer a significant improvement in the styling department. The new roof should help it to maintain the GT's lines despite its shorter, two-seat configuration. Expect to see the same 405hp V8 used in the Gran Turismo under the hood of the Spyder when it goes on sale in 2009...

Ford Cars in india
The Ford Fiesta is one of those compact cars that has gained popularity very quickly in India, which is more of a price sensitive market. But it’s been nearly three years since the car has been released. Now Ford India reveals that they have launched the new Fiesta SXI here.
Nigel Wark is the executive director for marketing, sales and service at Ford India. Wark stated, “The new Fiesta SXI will make a statement with its premium new style persona. Based on our customer feedback, the new Fiesta SXI has been introduced to appeal to the young, suave and style-oriented professionals who want their cars to reflect their individual personality, signifying success, confidence and accomplishments.”
So what to expect from the new Ford Fiesta SXI? The car exemplifies luxury as it features mahogany wood-finished center console as well as brushed aluminum finish adorning knobs, vents and the steering wheel and even grain beige leather interiors. It also includes a 2 DIN MP3 player with Aux-in capability. The car has a chrome finish exterior look.
Coming to the engine, there are two options, one is the 1.6 Duratec petrol while the other is the 1.4 Duratorq common-rail, turbo diesel engine. Ford claims that these engines will not only offer great performance but also will be fuel efficient. Ford reveals that the driver and front passenger get airbags and these are standard.
There is also the Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD and collapsible steering column. What’s more it has a fuel cut-off inertia switch that cuts off fuel if there is a crash. They have added Passive Anti-Theft system, which stops the engine when the key is turned off. And yes, it has central locking.
The premium new Ford Fiesta SXI will hit Ford dealerships in India on August 3, 2009. The top-end SXI petrol variant will come with a price tag of Rs. 6.99 lakhs while the diesel variant costs 7.99 lakhs. The prices mentioned are ex-showroom New Delhi. Also, Ford informs that the Fiesta comes with a 2 year / 1, 00,000 km warranty and there are other options such as Extended Warranty also.

2011 Toyota Yaris - Review Summary
The 2011 Toyota Yaris is the best car for you if you want a no-worries fuel-sipper that acts bigger than its tiny size suggests – and didn’t suffer unintended-acceleration recalls.
The 2011 Toyota Yaris subcompact leverages light weight and modest power to achieve hybrid-like fuel economy. How does 29 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway sound? And that’s with automatic transmission and room for four adults. The 2011 Yaris is treated to some new colors and like all Toyotas – recalled or not – receives an electronic brake-override system. Prices for the 2011 Yaris start at a friendly $13,615. As the most desirable models tickle $16,000, however, you’ll need confidence in your priorities to resist the call of a larger car.
Should you buy a 2011 Toyota Yaris or wait for the 2012 Toyota Yaris? If you’re on a strict budget and need a new small car today, the 2011 Yaris won’t disappoint. The 2012 Yaris isn’t apt to get any compelling new features, but if you can wait for it you’ll be better positioned to compare Toyota’s smallest car against some compelling new rivals. One is the Ford Fiesta, which actually debuted as a 2011 model. Fiesta is impressive but can get a little pricey, easily costing $2,000-$3,000 more than a roughly comparable Yaris. The real rival for your attention is certain to be the all-new 2012 Hyundai Accent. Accent is already the best-seller in the subcompact class and Hyundai hopes to pad to its lead with the redesigned 2012 version.

2009 Maserati Granturismo Review
Maserati's new Gran Turismo S is a performance-oriented version of the two-door coupe. It features a larger-displacement V-8 engine that makes 440 horsepower, which is 35 hp more than the regular Gran Turismo's V-8. The S also gets Maserati's duo-select six-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters in place of the six-speed automatic that the standard model uses.
The new drivetrain propels the car from zero to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds on the way to a top speed of 183 mph, according to the company. The task of stopping this sports car falls to a high-performance brake system that features six-piston front calipers.
Exterior differences between the two versions of the Gran Turismo are minor, like a red stripe on the grille trident of the S, but the car does take on a particularly menacing aura when painted black with dark gray rims, like the car in the photos. It also features a sport exhaust system. On the inside, the S has new sport seats finished in leather and Alcantara fabric.
2009 Ford F150 Nice
The 2009 Ford F-150 is redesigned, gaining power, passenger room, and numerous new features. A 248-hp 4.6-liter V8 replaces a 202-hp V6 as the base engine and comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission. A 292-hp version of the 4.6 and a 310-hp 5.4 V8 are also available, both matched to a 6-speed automatic. The 5.4-liter V8 produces 320 hp when running on E85 ethanol-blended fuel. Available are rear-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive that cannot be left engaged on dry pavement but includes low-range gearing for off-roading. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Three cab styles are again offered: regular cab, which deletes its former rear access doors; SuperCab extended cab, with rear-hinged back doors that don't open independently of the fronts; and SuperCrew crew cab, which has four conventional doors and gains six inches in length, mostly benefiting rear-seat legroom. Cargo beds include 5.5-, 6.5-, and 8-foot Styleside beds and a 6.5-ft Flareside bed. Seven trim levels are offered: base XL, sporty STX, off-road-oriented FX4, midlevel XLT, uplevel King Ranch and Lariat, and new line-topping Platinum. Rumored for later in the 2009 model year is the Raptor, an off-road-oriented model powered by a 6.2-liter V8. Newly available features include a hideaway side step for access to the pickup bed, a tailgate step, a retractable cable lock to secure items in the bed, and a capless fuel filler. Also new is an SFE (Superior Fuel Economy) package for 2WD models with the 292-hp 4.6 V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission. The package includes low-rolling-resistance tires and a different axle ratio for a 1-mpg increase in the EPA highway fuel economy rating. Cadillac CTS Best Cars
In its earlier years, Cadillac had little interest in making smaller cars. When market conditions finally convinced the company's managers that the brand had to have them, the resulting products elicited little favorable reaction from consumers. The modern Cadillac CTS, however, is one entry-level Cadillac that has bucked that trend.
With a cutting-edge design and extensive development work on Germany's famed Nürburgring test track, the CTS sport sedan is aimed squarely at the class leaders in one of the industry's most competitive segments. It's also a bit larger than many of the cars that it competes against in terms of price and design philosophy.
There have been two generations of the Cadillac CTS. Despite some obvious shortcomings in terms of interior design and quality, the first CTS went on to be one of Cadillac's most popular models as well as the only main domestic entry to truly compete against the top European and Japanese entry-level luxury cars. It's worth a look as a used or pre-owned model. For the second-generation CTS, Cadillac made substantial improvements to interior design and materials quality. It's an excellent luxury sport sedan, and consumers interested in this type of car should give it serious consideration.
Current Cadillac CTS
Offering a well-sorted blend of all-American style and European-inspired tuning, the popular Cadillac CTS has made a name for itself amongst the many established players in the entry-level luxury sedan segment. Two V6 engines are available. Standard power comes from a 3.0-liter direct-injection (DI) V6 generating 270 horsepower, while the available 3.6-liter V6 puts out 304 hp. Both engines can be equipped with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic. The CTS is also offered in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations, though AWD models are limited to the base engine and automatic transmission.
Standard equipment for the Cadillac CTS is decent, and a full complement of the latest safety technology is standard as well. There are a variety of luxury options, including leather seating, a premium audio system and a hard-drive-based navigation system that can store digital music files. Two sport suspension packages are also available to further the CTS's handling capabilities. For those looking to make the most out of each gallon of gasoline, the Eco Lux Collection option (available on the base 3.0-liter V6 only) alters aerodynamics and tires to achieve 30 mpg on the highway -- a gain of 3 mpg.
Overall, the upgraded interior and spirited powertrains have pushed the CTS into top-tier status for a luxury sport sedan. While it might not qualify for "Standard of the World" status just yet, Cadillac's entry-level model has evolved into a much more capable car all the way around and can now more than hold its own against the best cars in this segment both in terms of luxury appeal and driving prowess. There is a CTS SportWagon available and it is covered in a separate review.
Used Cadillac CTS Models
The second-generation Cadillac CTS sedan debuted for the 2008 model year and compared to the original CTS, the new model is more refined and powerful. Overall body dimensions are similar to the original CTS, but there are an additional 2 inches of track width to give the sedan a more powerful stance. The first CTS's lackluster interior was remedied via a substantially higher level of quality and a more attractive design.
There have been changes made since this generation's introduction. Prior to the 2010 model year, the base engine was a 3.6-liter V6 that made 258 horsepower -- slightly less than the current 3.0-liter direct-injection motor. Fuel economy was also lower for the '08 and '09 models, but only by about 1 mpg. The SportWagon was not available prior to '10.
The first-generation Cadillac CTS was sold from the 2003-'07 model years. When it debuted, the CTS was one of Cadillac's first cars to fully emphasize the brand's modern, angular styling themes. It was also a significant departure from traditional modern Cadillacs because of its rear-wheel drive, available manual transmission, stiff body structure and sport-oriented handling dynamics.
The car's larger-than-average exterior dimensions translated to a roomier cabin that could accommodate five adults. A fair number of features came standard, including antilock brakes and side curtain airbags. Upscale features were typically bundled as part of optional packages. Common options included a premium Bose audio system, a DVD-based navigation system, xenon headlights and a sunroof. A sport package provided a sport-tuned suspension, bigger wheels and tires, and stability control.
In its first year, the Cadillac CTS came only with a 3.2-liter V6 good for 220 hp. This was joined in 2004 by a more desirable 255-hp 3.6-liter V6. At the time, the base V6 was available with a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. The larger V6 came with the automatic only. In 2005, however, the 3.2-liter engine was dropped in favor of a smaller, 210-hp 2.8-liter engine. Cadillac also upgraded the manual transmission to a six-speed unit and made it available for the 3.6-liter V6 as well.
Previous to the CTS, Cadillac's entry-level vehicle was the Catera. Based on Europe's Opel Omega, it was offered from 1997-2001. This model was not particularly popular with consumers or Edmunds.com's editorial staff, and it's recommended that used-car shoppers consider other vehicles in this segment.
