Pediculosis capitis infestation is known as a human medical condition caused by the colonization of the hair and skin with insect parasites Pediculus humanus capitis, head lice. Usually, only the head or scalp of the host is full, although the disease can occur in other parts of the hairy body, such as feathering the foot. Head lice human blood meals (hematophagy), and itching from flea bites are common symptoms of this condition.Treatment usually involves the application of topical insecticide such as pyrethrin or permethrin, although many herbal remedies are also common.
